Ortho Development is Hiring a Machine Shop Lead Near Draper, UT
- Follow documented procedures and work instructions to manufacture quality parts
- Meet and adhere to quality requirements per the QMS
- Escalate issues or problems immediately
- Perform maintenance as required
- Follow safety standards
- Keep workstation and environment organized and clean (5S)
- Able to read and understand drawings and blueprints
- Perform production on machines such as lasermarker, grit blaster, buffing tools, etc.
- Run production on CNCs including changeovers
- Produce prototypes as needed
- Ensure machine shop resources are allocated appropriately each day
- First response to a quality or equipment issue. Escalate and inform the proper people of the issue(s).
- Point of contact for Machine Shop Management
- Identify and participate in continuous improvement
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Machining certificate or trade school
- 2-5 years experience
- Use of inspection equipment, e.g. calipers, microscope, optical measurement
- Operation of manual and coordinated measuring machines
- Experience with manual mill and lathe
